Getting the exhibit right
Western Diamondback Rattlesnake is an exhibit animal: it lives in a terrarium-style exhibit rather than an enclosure you build from barriers. Cheap to house, but unforgiving on two numbers.
Hold the exhibit at 24–30 °C with humidity at 40–60%. Exhibits fail quietly — welfare drifts when the climate slips, and by the time the alert appears you have usually lost a breeding cycle. Set both values before adding the animal.
With no land requirement, exhibits are the cheapest way to add species variety to a small zoo, and several count toward conservation goals. Guests walk past them quickly compared with a big habitat, though.
